Women with Disabilities Victoria and Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health are pleased to invite you to

Preventing Violence Against Women with Disabilities from Multicultural Communities

a FREE event to launch our newest gender and disability workforce development resources

Our event aims to provide an online space where we can highlight how gender inequality, racism and ableism intersect and increase the likelihood of migrant and refugee women, non-binary, and gender-diverse people with disabilities experiencing violence, and how we can take action to prevent violence and enhance our gender and disability inclusive and culturally safe practice.

To support this, we will be showcasing our new resources along with discussions with women with lived experience on prevention of violence against women with disabilities from multicultural communities.

These new resources have been developed to increase awareness and confidence and build the capacity of workforces to deliver gender and disability equitable, responsive, inclusive and culturally safe services.

This important event is open to anyone interested in preventing violence against migrant and refugee women, non-binary, and gender-diverse people with disabilities, in particular those who work in the disability, social services and prevention sectors.
