This is a series of two (2) workshops, for social and community service professionals, to learn about how gender and disability inequality drives violence, and how you can prevent it. See below for session details.

Part 1: Wednesday 12 November, 10:00am–3:00pm
Part 2: Thursday 13 November, 10:00am–3:00pm
Both sessions include a lunch break and additional short breaks.
Location: Online via Zoom (link provided after registration)
Cost: $350 employed professionals, $250 student/ concession

Session 1: Introduction to Preventing Gender and Disability Based Violence

Session 2: Gender and Disability Prevention in Action
- How gender and disability equitable practice can create change to end violence
- Introducing concepts of inclusive and accessible practice
- Strategies and tools to prevent violence against women and gender diverse people with disabilities
- Resistance and backlash
- Bystander action
The series is facilitated by women and gender diverse people with disabilities and centres the voices of lived experience. It is evidence-based, aligning with the latest research on disability, Our Watch’s Changing the Landscape, and the Preventing Family Violence & Violence Against Women Capability Framework.

Cancellations made at least 14 days prior to the training dates are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made between 13 and 7 days prior to the training dates are eligible for a 50% refund.
